Many are finding it disturbing that President Barack Obama initially gave the “all clear” signal to the Justice Department to investigate and seek criminal prosecutions against Bush Administration lawyers for the legal advice they gave relative to enhanced interrogation methods against terrorists in the aftermath of 9-11.
The situation is murky because it has also come to light that many members of Congress – from both parties – were briefed on these interrogations and voiced no opposition at the time of the briefing.

The shock that some liberals display in light of the Democrats’ complicity (or at least compliance) to the “harsh interrogation techniques” is in itself shocking. Are we to believe Congress has never taken the time to investigate and discover the acts inside the interrogation room?

Since 9/11, the Bush administration and their legal sycophants in the Justice Department and right-wing think tanks such as the American Enterprise Institute and the Federalist Society, have claimed that the criminal regime in Washington has the legal right to employ any tactic to pursue its sordid agenda.
