Media Corrupution at the Center of the Election

FEAR Conservative talk radio host Sean Hannity stated earlier this year on his radio broadcast that 2008 would be the year in which “fair and balanced journalism” was no more. This prophetic message has sadly come true.

Within minutes of the Sarah Palin nomination, CNN as well MSNBC, were running bogus headlines asking bizarre questions of the candidate. “How many houses will Palin bring to the ticket?” was the major MSNBC headline. This kind of coverage is utter filth.

It is no secret that for a long time mainstream media outlets have been in the tank for the far left. What is so shocking about this year, though, is the fact so many professional correspondents are using headlines generated from far left blogs and web sites as their own “top stories.” This kind of reporting is utterly insane. The worst part is, if it could get any worse, these so called “professional journalists” are using this garbage as if it is real news. For example, some far left web sites were stating that Palin’s daughter’s child was actually Palin’s child herself. CNN ran a disclaimer stating some web sites were insinuating that the child was actually Palin’s and not her daughter’s.

America has no place for this kind of journalism. This is the kind of stuff that went on in Nazi Germany or Communist Russia. Believe me; this is not over by a long shot. The media coverage for Obama has been 3-1 over John McCain. What little bit of coverage McCain has gotten in the press has been overwhelmingly negative. Whether you like Senator McCain or not it’s very clear to most Americans the mainstream media networks have a bizarre love affair with Barack Obama. This will most definitely get worse before it comes close to getting better. Senator McCain and Governor Palin will experience an exorbitant amount of slanderous lies in the coming weeks.

For the record, plenty of right wing smear tactics have been used in elections before and are being used currently. The far right channels their hate through underground fanatical web sites in which most are relatively unknown. The problem is, no one in the media even looks at those gossip sites as being credible.

We have a serious double standard in this country when it comes to politics. The main stream media has always and always will subscribe to the theory “anything goes” if you are a Democrat. However, if a conservative or Republican is slipping up you can bet it will make headlines across America in every major newspaper and every nationally recognized television news broadcast. The fact every major news company has yet to bring up John Edwards illegitimate child pretty much sums up the one-sided coverage in America today.

How are Americans supposed to launder out the garbage from the truth? I simply do not have the answer to that. What I can say is this; Americans are smarter than the mainstream media. After a while, the regular folks are going to see through this over the top corruption known as CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, and CBS. The real question is when will the mainstream media make an attempt to return fair and balanced coverage back to the American people? We will have to wait on that answer.

Let’s recap the facts. The national media loathes conservatives and frequently uses its power to espouse hate. Every major news anchor affiliated with the above mentioned stations is clearly in the tank for Senator Barack Obama which means they are not concerned about the future of America, only advancing a bizarre candidate with no real substance.

Mainstream media is not about to go away because, after all, that is how we get our news. Ultimately, things will get far worse before they get better so Americans must prepare themselves mentally for the challenge ahead. It will be left up to the ordinary folks in middle America to decide if what they are seeing or hearing on television is actual newsworthy information or left wing hearsay.
