Obama Strategy Annoying
The Obama campaign has been scrupulously attacking John McCain, claiming ties to lobbyists hurt the Senator’s credentials. Wait a sec; isn’t Obama linked with Tony Rezko? The Obama campaign can parade around all day long and point fingers at McCain while spouting off rhetoric over lobbyists but Obama is now looking stupid. His ties are so out in the open that a lot of Americans are becoming weary of the argument. In fact, many Americans are wondering why this guy is even bringing up this issue when he’s on the wrong side of it as well.
This all goes back to Obama’s lack of experience both as a politician and as a strategist. The Obama camp keeps bringing up issues that do not directly impact the campaign. However, Obama knows he is backed 100 percent by the media which gives him a fighting chance. He knows that when his campaign sends a press release out it will get picked up and more than likely become a feature piece on the front page somewhere.
Reality check: Obama’s campaign criticizing McCain over questionable ties is more than laughable considering the source. Obama is still battling an image problem stemming from his bizarre relationship to William Ayers, the radical terrorist, and Jeremiah Wright, the violent and radical racist minister from Chicago. So, for Obama to start questioning someone else’s peculiar acquaintances is proof in the pudding, the Senator doesn’t know what else to do at this point.
With that said, this week McCain has seen a massive surge in polling. He has cut Obama’s lead in half with women; slashed Obama’s lead on the economy down to three points from 16, and is scoring record crowds on the campaign trail. Will this last? Who knows? One thing is for certain and that is the ordinary folks in average town U.S.A. are extremely turned on by the McCain/Palin ticket because they can relate. The majority of Americans cannot relate to the rich and powerful lifestyle let alone a life built around radical friends who are out to get the “average Joe”. Obama’s view of America as a new socialist nation is not sitting too well with the folks in the Chamber of Commerce but more importantly with small business across America.
From here on out things are going to get extremely ugly. The McCain campaign had better brace themselves for what lies ahead. The media will begin to pull out all stops in order to get their poster boy elected. Average Americans have to wonder if our society will ever tone down politics. Obama, who claims change, picked a Washington crony. Obama, who claimed to run a new campaign, is beginning to look “Clintonesque” in his run for the Whitehouse. Americans are getting sick of the relentless attacks on Palin and her family. Obama needs to wise up and stick with what got him to where he is and that’s not “below the belt” comments.
